Golf Drills: Feet Together
Here is a quick video to demonstrate the “feet together drill”
This drill is very popular among golf instructors and you will find many video lessons online to show you how to do this drill. It is really very simple and all of the videos will tell you the same things.
The idea behind this drill is to give you the feel of better balance during your golf swing and to help you take some of the lateral movement out of your swing which can improve your consistency and accuracy.
Try this drill first without hitting a ball. You can practice this swing in your back yard as often as you like. When you get to the practice range you can hit balls using this drill and you may be surprised at how well you hit them.
Sliding through the shot with too much movement from your lower body and hips can cause a lot of problems including a wicked slice.
If your hips get out too far in front of the ball it is very easy to have an open club face at impact creating a slice. If you prevent your hips from sliding and have more of a body rotation you are much more likely to return the club face to a square position at impact and fix your slice.
Try this drill and be sure to look around this site for many more super golf tips to help improve your game and make it more fun.
